King Brinell Hardness Testers are portable, lightweight and versatile enough to test virtually any size and shape of metal specimen. Place the specimen between the anvil and the test head, crank the head down onto the specimen, lock the tester in place, close the pressure release valve, and pull the hydraulic lever until the desired load is reached. A by-pass valve is automatically activated at the calibrated load, eliminating the chance of overloading. The impression is then read and recorded by the operator using a King Deep Reading Microscope or a Kingscan Automatic Brinell Microscope.

King Brinell Portable Hardness Testers are available in "Complete Units" (described below) or you can buy the components separately to build a custom unit to suit your needs. 

Model A1 is available with your choice of a 3000Kg test head or a low pressure test head along with a standard model C1 base that has a 13-1/2" gap and 4" throat.

Model A2 is available with a Long Ram 3000Kg test head or long ram low pressure test head. The long ram has an extended nose piece that can reach down into holes, slots or other hard to reach areas for testing. A standard model C1 base is included. 

Model A3 is available with your choice of a 3000Kg test head or a low pressure test head. This tester is designed to test large round parts and comes with a chain adapter with four feet of chain which can be used for up to a 15" diameter part. Extra lengths of chain may be purchased by the foot and connect to the four foot chain for testing even larger diameter parts.
